Marriage Proposal of the Day: The planning! The dorkiness! The tears!
So imperfect it’s perfect.

TED Talk of the Day: A young entrepreneur named Colin Robertson attempts to deliver a three-minute TED talk about crowdsourcing solar energy solutions when his presentation is suddenly halted by every TED speaker’s worst nightmare: The infamous “spinning beach ball of death.”
Considering Robertson is really Eugene Cordero, an ImprovEverywhere agent who isn’t so much a young entrepreneur as a merry prankster, the “nightmare” doesn’t quite end there.
[ted / thanks charlie!]

Harry Potter Synopsis of the Day: Want to get clued in to this “Harry Potter” craze all your friends are talking about, but only have a minute to spare? This 60-second summary of all the Harry Potter movies should do the trick. And by “do the trick” I mean confuse you even further.

The Muppets Movie - Man or Muppet
This part KILLED me. So much giggling.
If I’m a muppet, then I’m a very manly muppet.

Improv Everywhere: For our latest mission, we picked a random couple getting married at the City Clerk’s Office in Manhattan and threw them a surprise wedding reception. The couple was treated to dancing, toasts, cake, and gifts, all with complete strangers.
I really, really, really love this. I was all smiles watching this whole thing.

Very Short Film of the Day: To celebrate the 190th anniversary of the chronograph, German luxury goods manufacturer Montblanc and advertising agency Leo Burnett Milan invited filmmakers to capture and submit “one-second-long moving pictures” of moments they considered beautiful.
Many responded, and a showreel of 60 hand-picked clips was crafted (above).
There will be two additional qualification rounds, with 20 clips selected from each round. The 60 finalists will be judged by director Wim Wenders, and one lucky beauty beholder will win a trip to the 2012 Berlinale as well as a Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec chronograph.
May the best second win.
